I began my policing career in Canada, working in uniform patrol within the country’s most diverse community, where over 70% of residents are visible minorities. This setting, particularly with the Chinese community making up nearly half of the city’s reported ethnocultural background, offered me a unique immersion opportunity to rekindle my Mandarin skills.
